This post that is particularly close to my heart–it’s why I decided to start a blog. Ever since I can remember I have been in love with fashion and beauty. Fashion is one of the things that has made me excited every single day since I can remember. Growing up I got frustrated because some of the fashion trends that I wanted to wear didn’t integrate with my medical supplies (e.g., skirts were a huge issue for me because I didn’t want to have my pump and its tubing showing). I also always had to take into consideration how I was going to carry my medical supplies with me. Luckily for me, I had a resourceful mom who worked with me to figure out functional fashion alternatives for me. With this knowledge, I’m hoping that I can help another T1D who is struggling with the same issues I had.
Why This Outfit Makes Me Happy
This outfit may look average but to a Type 1 Diabetic, this is a dream. Not only is this outfit trendy, but it makes me feel carefree with only having to bring a small clutch. This magical bag is the Myabetic Clemens Diabetes Compact Wallet. The epitome of functional fashion. When I was growing up there was no way I could ever imagine being able to go out with such a small bag and still have everything I needed. This bag has a built in wallet capability with cards slots and enough room to throw a small set of keys inside. But my favorite thing about this bag is that it’s FASHIONABLE and is designed to work with my diabetic supplies. This may seem like a small feat, but in my life I’ve never been happier to pull out my test kit.
What do you think of this great functional fashion find? Is there something that makes your life easier? Let me know in the comments below!
